Question:
I have a road-master spare tire hitch mount, will this fit on the end? The pin clearance looks pretty tight.

Thanks for reaching out, Jim. After looking at your pictures, it looks like the Roadmaster Rollaway Trailer Hitch Protector # RM-050 will not work with the Roadmaster spare tire carrier. Like you said the clearance looks very tight and the pin hole likely will not line up. It would be very close though.
If you really need a skid wheel, I suggest trying the Ultra-Fab Steel Roller # UF48-979020. You will likely need to modify the bracket slightly in order to make it work. I prefer this roller over the Roadmaster because it is much more affordable, so you won't be risking as much when you modify it. With the limited clearance on the Roadmaster spare tire carrier, getting creative and modifying something to work will be the only option.

I appreciate the response and the input! I was considering the same option, it does seem as though I would need to modify either one. I'll poke around some more, it hasn't been an issue but I did have a scrape on a driveway once. Thank you again for the input! Jim
