Will SumoSprings Help With Sag When Towing With 2024 Ram 3500

Question:

Hello. I have a 2024 Ram 3500 SRW. I frequently tow a 8500lb-9500lb travel trailer toy hauler depending on if I have the golf cart in it. I had timbrens in the past on my ram 2500 and didn’t care much for them. I am looking at sumo springs Item SSR-312-54 to help with 3” sag I get while hooked up. Thank you

Hi Aaron,

I can understand not like the TImbrens as those can definitely be rough on a pretty consistent basis; you made a nice choice for your 2024 Ram 3500 by instead going to the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-312-54.

The # SSR-312-54 will definitely help with sag while you're towing and getting hooked up to your trailer. They're going to be a bit higher up than Timbrens so you won't feel them quite as much with an unloaded ride, which is also why I like them more.

Hey Aaron, how did the SumoSprings work out on your Ram 3500 when towing your toy hauler? It’d be great to hear if they helped reduce that 3-inch sag you mentioned. Your update could make it easier for others comparing SumoSprings and Timbrens.

They worked fabulous! Eliminated the 3” sag. With truck fully loaded and toy hauler 5th wheel fully loaded it sagged approximately 1”. The ride was so much better as well. Also the truck rode like factory without the 5th wheel hooked up. Wish I would have purchased these years ago.
