Hey Gerald,

For your 2018 Chevy Silverado I recommend the etrailer Soft Tonneau Cover # e92DR. The rails will clamp onto the bedrail lip for a quick and easy installation and cover will sit over the top of the bedrails. I have one of the first models of this cover on my Silverado and I'd say what makes this stand out is the easier to grip pull straps to release the cover, the nicer buckles with adjustable strap lengths to secure the cover when rolled up, the easy tension adjustment to keep the cover nice and tight, and just how well the cover pulls to the Velcro on the rails.

With the previous covers I had I either had a thin pull cord or lever and they would bind up or not fully pull the latch enough to open the cover. The latching mechanism also doubles as the tensioner, simply loosen the bolt to slide the block that the cover clips into back to tighten the cover and tighten the bolt back up. My previous covers had elastic straps for the buckles and they end up wearing out over time so I prefer having a standard strap. My last cover used a hook instead of a buckle too and that hook can break or pop out when going over rough terrain so it's another thing I just don't like on other covers.

This cover also pulls to the Velcro really easily so that you're not having to run your hands down the rails to fully secure it or having to pull the cover off in certain spots and readjust it to get it to sit right. Because of these features and the competitive pricing this cover is a no-brainer option if you're looking for a soft roll-up cover.
