Can You Upgrade Generation 1 MorRyde StepAbove Steps to Generation 2?

I have a travel trailer with the Morryde steps with the adjustable foot that you have to pull a pin ,I see the newer ones are a ratcheting type wear you just pull a lever,I was wondering if they made a upgrade kit ,to.change the to the new style foot mechanism

Hey Chris,
No, there isn't an upgrade kit for your Generation 1 MORryde StepAbove RV Steps to make them a Generation 2. There is a Replacement Leg for MORryde StepAbove RV Steps - 2nd Generation # MR36DR, but because the Generation 1 steps' pull-pin holes are round and the Generation 2's button-style holes are rectangular, they aren't interchangeable across generations.
To get the button feature, you will need to upgrade to a Generation 2 MorRyde SteveAbove step setup. Finding the right one will depend on the width and height of your doorway. We have options for doorways 21-3/4"-30-1/4" wide and 25"-42" tall. If you send me your measurements, I can get you the correct replacement.
Is anything specific driving you to upgrade to the Generation 2 setup, or are you just looking to have simpler and quicker access to the steps?
