I have a 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty 6-3/4' bed with the prep package. I have been looking at the Curt A16 and B&W Companion Hitches but would like some help figuring out which one to get or what some of the key differences are.

Both the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # C16520-16020 and B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider # BWRVK3370 are great options for your 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty with short bed that has the OEM prep package. Both of these 5th wheel hitches will drop into the OEM receiver pucks in your truck and allow for easy removal of the hitch when you want/need full access to your truck bed. Both hitches have built in sliders that will allow you to safely turn at slow speeds which you will need for your short bed truck.

The Curt A16 has a gross towing weight of 16,000 lbs and a vertical load limit of 4,000 lbs. The Curt also has a 3-point indicator system that uses color coding to tell you if the hitch is ready to uncouple, couple, or tow.

The B&W Companion has a gross towing weight of 20,000 lbs and vertical load limit of 5,000 lbs. The B&W Companion offers 3 height settings to fit your application and is sourced and made in the USA.

Personally, given the the additional weight capacity and the fact that the hitch is sourced and made in the USA, I recommend the B&W Companion. You will not be disappointed with this hitch.
