Attaching Breakaway Switch to Roadmaster Base Plate Kit 2024 GMC Canyon

I’m installing a base kit 523221-5 on my 2024 GMC Canyon AT4. I watched the video great video by the way Ryan G did and he mentioned installing his breakaway switch on the passenger side by the base plate. Was there a special bracket he used for that switch? I’m installing the same switch on my vehicle. Thanks

Hey Bob, so Ryan does install the breakway switch of his SMI DUO part # SM99251 to the passenger side Roadmaster base plate bracket but he does not use a special bracket. He basically attaches it directly to the base plate with most likely a small self tapper but if it were me I would find a smaller band clamp and run it through the hole of the switch and around the base of the base plate kit.

Thanks Jameson. I’m installing that same brake system in my 2024. Is there a video for a 2024 Canyon yet? Is it the same as installation as my 2021(my old Canyon) Thanks
