Hello. We are interested in a trunk mount bike rack for our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. We plan to transport 3 kids bikes maybe 4 down the road when the baby grows. The Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack # Y02638 will be able to handle the weight of your kid's bikes, but you might need to use some adapter bars like the part # HRBA-PRO to get the bikes to all fit together.

Since it sounds like biking is a pretty big hobby for your family, I do recommend considering biting the bullet now to make the transition to 4 bikes easier in the future. Trunk mount racks don't come in a 4-bike configuration so if you install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C65CR now you'll be able to utilize it for a 4-bike rack now and you'll have an easier time using it as trunk racks aren't as easy to install as hitch racks.

Then for a bike rack, the best option for you is the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # HR4000 I actually use the 2-bike version of this for my kid's bikes when we go on vacation. It isn't the most glamorous bike rack but it has the basics and is the most cost-effective 4-bike platform rack that we carry.
