Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2019 to 2021 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 4-wheel drive vehicles, also fits the 2019 and newer Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 4-wheel drive vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this kit here is gonna improve the suspension, the handling and safety of your vehicle.
There's no maintenance required, unlike airbags, no compressors or pressure adjustments. You just install this and forget it. Provides additional support as needed, so you always have a nice, smooth, comfortable ride. And it'll allow the leaf spring ample movement while cushioning light loads, does not affect the empty ride of the vehicle. And these will become more rigid as more weight is added.
Does increase stability, provides great performance for hauling heavy loads and it will reduce vehicle sag. What's nice about these, they do work independently, side to side, so they will help compensate for any off center loads and they'll reduce body roll when you're swerving or turning corners. They'll even act as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of any bumps and rough roads, helps extend the life of your vehicle's suspension. Now it will include everything shown here. It does include the, let me just take these parts off.
These are the two Aeon Hollow Rubber Springs, the four vehicle specific mounted brackets, the two bottom ones, the two top ones. Here's your two top ones right here. And it does also include these four spacers that'll be installed with the hardware. Comes with the hardware for a nice, simple installation. These do replace the bump stops on the frame.
There's no drilling required. Capacity on the ski is 11,000 pounds and these Timbern Springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So you do wanna make sure not to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. Now these are designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order, and as we mentioned, comes with a nice set of instructions, describe how it all goes together. Just installed on 2008 Hyundai Entorouge seems to work well. Only problem was that I had buy new hardware because the supplied hardware was standard not metric.
Works like expected. Keeps the truck looking level even under heavy loads.

Just what my truck needed to stop the sag when I hook up to my 5th wheel.
Sorry to report that the Timbren package arrived in original box that looked as though it had been ripped open and the carefully taped shut with clear packing tape. I thought at first that shipper had damaged it but all parts were there so I started install. Half way thru I discovered two of the lock nuts were stripped and threads on the right axle pad were burred at the start. We live 14 miles round trip from the closest ace hardware. I used a die to repair the axle pad threads but had to stop for the day to purchase new lock nuts. Feel like I got a used set for new price.
