Question:
Hello, I’m interested in a trailer hitch for my 2022 Chevy equinox. I’m going to attach a motorcycle carrier/motorcycle with a total weight of 350 pounds. The hitch specs say it is rated for 675 pounds on the tongue. Does my equinox have a max tongue rating? Or does just the hitch rating matter?

Hey Chase,
Your 2022 Chevy Equinox should have capacities listed in the owner's manual that you'll need to stay under to avoid damaging the vehicle. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR will likely have more capacity than your vehicle does. From I can find you should have a 1,500lb towing capacity and tongue weight is 10% of your towing capacity so you'd be looking 150lb tongue weight capacity. I'd check your owner's manual though to confirm.
If you plan on towing a trailer then I recommend also picking up the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C94FR to transfer your light signals over.
