Replacement Wheel Studs For A 2005 Featherlite Trailer

Question:

Trying to find studs for a featherlight trailer axle hub. 1/2 20 but nothing local fits- I have a picture of the axle label - but can not find any information on it. Trailer was built in 2005. Could use your help

Hey Scott,

I'll need some more more dimensions on the wheel stud to ensure a fit with your trailer hub. Can you measure the spline diameter with a caliper # PTW80157 and the length of the bolt?

@ScottC It looks like the closest option we offer is the Kodiak Wheel Bolt # K12WB169, which has a spline diameter of .54" and 1-11/16" length. I would try reaching out to Kodiak or Dexter to see if they might have an exact replacement.

@KevinC Thanks- may call Featherlite to see if they can replace- seems it’s an irregular size - wonder who made these axles- no name on them from what I can see

@ScottC If you can't find the right studs then we can just replace the hub instead. To do so you'd need to know the bearing and grease seal part numbers or you can measure the spindle at points B, C, and D on the diagram above with a caliper # PTW80157. Then we'll need to know the wheel bolt pattern and axle capacity. If you don't know the axle capacity then you can just measure the depth and diameter of your current hub.
