Hey Terry,
The Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420 is rated for 10,000lbs so it would be capable of handling the weight of your 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. To attach it to your truck you'll need a Blue Ox baseplate like part # BX1694. This replaces your factory tow hooks, or would sit where they would if you don't have them.
If you haven't picked out the rest of your flat towing equipment then I have the following recommendations:
Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll want the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251. This system has an indicator light that needs to tap into the brake light switch in your truck, which unfortunately isn't useable. To circumvent this you can install a stop light switch # RM-751000 to provide the signal for the indicator light.
If your motorhome has air brakes then you'll want the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 instead. This system won't need to tap into the brake light switch so you won't need a stop light switch kit with this system.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode wiring kit will splice into your factory tail light wiring and display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of the Silverado.
