Recommended Front Axle Suspension Enhancement For A 2022 Ram 2500 4x4 Laramie

Updated 05/29/2024 | Published 05/25/2024

Question:

I need heavy duty front helper springs. I currently run stock 2022 ram 2500 4x4 Laramie. I tow a lot. 50,000+ miles a year. Mostly on I-20 and I-40 which might as well be the Baja 500. My stock suspension gets blown out tye first 1600 miles. The pit holes are just brutal. If I’m going to invest I want to make the right choice. The fronts are so weak.

Hey Chris,

The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs # AL80532 will stiffen up your coil springs and help with the road shock you've been experiencing, but I'd go one step further with a front jounce spring. Adding in the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSF-302-47 will help cushion the suspension and provide load lifting support with no maintenance.

With how rough the roads are and with the amount of travel you'd definitely benefit from a front jounce spring to help absorb the blow from the road. Adding in adjustable air helper springs to stiffen up the coils will also help with road shock and to lift the suspension under a heavy load.
