When you hang a snowplow or other heavy gear off the front, the extra weight can make the nose sag and steering feel light. The Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 6,000 lbs of capacity to help keep things level. The hollow rubber springs sit right above the axle to give instant support and prevent that front-end dip. With the truck sitting level, your traction, steering, and braking stay consistent and your headlights stay aimed where they should.
Rutted streets, washboard gravel, or uneven pavement can beat up a front suspension fast. Each Timbren hollow rubber spring cushions the hit before it gets to your factory parts, soaking up bumps and rough roads so you feel less jarring through the wheel. The design lets the leaf springs move freely on light loads, then stiffens up as weight increases, keeping the ride comfortable whether loaded or not.
When you swerve or corner hard, body roll can throw you around. Timbren’s springs work independently on each side so they respond only when that side needs extra support. This keeps your vehicle planted in curves and steady when carrying off-center loads or uneven equipment setups. You get less leaning in turns and better control through quick maneuvers.
No hoses, compressors, or adjustments to worry about—just bolt it on using the included brackets and hardware. The springs replace your axle bump stops on the frame with no drilling required. Once mounted, they’re always in position to help your suspension handle heavy work without any extra setup each time you use your equipment.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Timbren front axle suspension enhancement system. Now, this system has been designed to fit your 2019 and newer RAM 2500 and 3500 with the four wheel drive and then your 2019 and newer Ram 3500 cabin chassis with the two and four wheel drive. On custom fit parts such as these springs, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So just like the rear of your vehicle, how it will sag under the weight of a fully loaded bed, the front of your vehicle will sag when under the burden of heavy equipment such as the snowplow.
and in this case, the front axle is handling not only the weight of the equipment, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Overall vehicle handling traction steering and braking is all negatively affected, but the resistance from these timber and suspension enhancement springs are going to work with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience. Now, these 6,000 pound capacity springs are going to give you additional support as needed, so you always have a smooth, comfortable ride. They allow your leaf springs ample movement while cushioning light loads, and they won't affect the empty ride of your vehicle because they become more rigid as more weight is added to them, increasing stability and providing great performance while hauling heavy loads and reducing vehicle sag. These are going to work independently, adjusting side to side, helping compensate for off off center loads and reducing body roll when swerving or turning corners.
And these springs also act as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of the bumps and rough roads extending the life of your vehicle suspension. So this kit includes everything that you see here. You're gonna get these two Eon hollow rubber springs, and then the vehicle specific mounting brackets here, the mounting points that you see here. And there's not going to be any drilling required for installation. Instructions are also included to guide you through the installation process.
And again, the capacity of these springs is 6,000 pounds. However, it is important to note that these Timbren Springs will not actually increase your truck's weight carrying capacity. So you do wanna make sure that you're not exceeding the manufacturer's recommended weight limit, and these do have a limited lifetime warranty from Timbren. I hear you, and that makes sense based on what you’re describing. If the Timbrens are in constant contact, they’re basically always engaged, which is why the front end feels so stiff instead of only firming up under load. You might actually be a really good candidate for SumoSprings part # SSF-281-47 (as long as your truck is a 2WD) They’re a similar concept but made from a softer, more progressive material, so they compress more gradually instead of feeling like a hard stop. That usually gives you support when you need it without taking away all the ride comfort like you’re experiencing now. Glad to hear the install went smoothly and the quality was there, that’s pretty typical with Timbren, it just comes down to how they behave on your specific setup. What were you mainly trying to improve up front, sag, handling, or just a smoother ride overall?

The timbren springs are working out better than expected. I installled new Monroe matic RV shocks front and rear on my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 just prior to putting the timbrens on the front and the sumo springs on the rear and the ride is great especially with a load or hauling my travel trailer and the ride is just as smooth empty. I highly recommend the timbren and sumo springs because they fit by application and there is nothing additional to buy. Thanks etrailer.

I have upgraded towards trailing with my truck camper Artic Fox 990. I have not had the time to reach to etrailer for a solution with my 1998 Dodge 2500 timbrens installation. I have a new addition and will install the timbrens on a F-550 to have the same travel assurance...Pre trip test run to Key West early this winter... Anchorage 2024 Spring...Thank you etrailer
