Im looking to purchase a MORryde Goosetech. Are these compatible with short bed 3/4 ton.

Hi Ray!

The MORryde GooseTech 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box for 11.5K to 14K Trailers # MR74MV can definitely be used in a short bed 3/4 ton pickup, like your 2024 Ram 2500. Just be aware that not all trailers have a tapered nose and you may not get a full 90 degrees for your turns as it stands. If your trailer does have a tapered nose though, you most likely can, but be careful the first time you try.

If you wanted to make completely sure beforehand, you can use the formula have below. Since I see you got the B&W Turnoverball from us recently, it may not hurt to also check out the 4" Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball # BWGNXA4085. It will give you more clearance if needed (like if your trailer doesn't have that tapered nose).

(A + B) - C = Clearance

A = Distance from center of gooseneck ball to truck cab

B = Length of offset (this will be 4 if you're using the B&W offset ball, or 0 without it)

C = Width of trailer divided by 2

The fit is also going to depend on the 5th wheel trailer. You have to have the Lippert Rhino pin box for this to attach properly. As long as you have that, you are all good to go. If you have a different pin box, just let me know and I can find the one that will fit your 5th wheel.

And on that note, what kind of 5th wheel do you have? Oh and don't forget the # MR23MV safety chains as they are not included, but very much needed.
