Are Curt 5th Wheel Hitches Strong And Safe Enough With Only Two Bolts Per Side Attaching The Legs

The Curt A25 and A30 fifth wheel hitches for Ford superduty with factory prep package appear to have 2 bolts fastening the hitch to the legs on each side vs. 4 bolts for the BandW 25K and 30K hitches. Is 2 bolts strong enough?

Hey Steve,
The Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16036 and A30 # C66HR are both rigorously tested for capacity so you have nothing to worry about with it only having two bolts per side. The majority of Curt hitches only utilize two bolts per side. The jaws of the hitch are more likely to fail than the mounting bolts that attach to legs to main unit when it comes to overall capacity.
