Question:
With the Stealth hitch with adaptive wiring kit how do I get the coding so the car knows it’s towing something I heard this is the advantage for this wiring kit Do I really need the adaptive wiring kit or is a standard wiring kit such as the Curt sufficient I plan on using your Draw Tite kit Thanks

Hello Edward. The programming for the Stealth Hitch Active wiring harnesses is actually done by the folks at Stealth Hitch. They can do this remotely. The programming must be scheduled 1 week prior to the hitch installation so you will want to take this into account when scheduling your hitch install. You would just need to contact stealth hitch directly. The active harness is recommended (not required) for a 2014 BMW X5. The Curt # C59236 harness you ordered will be sufficient. I have linked our install video for you below.
