The Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 is a universal-fit item that requires permanently modifying the tailgate by drilling into it so you can install it on your 2020 Ford F-150

Will this Hopkins lift device work on a 2020 F-150 with tailgate step AND also has the Ford tailgate assist that slows down the tailgate while opening?

@Fifthwheel This hasn't been confirmed so your best bet would be to reach out to Ford to see if any of the newer features of the tailgate would be affected by the placement of a torsion bar # 74211. You'd need to drill a hole into the tailgate and into the bed to install this so as long as you're not going to drill into anything important you'd be fine. You could see if Ford has any kind of diagram showing the wiring running through the tailgate to avoid cutting into it.
