Hi Don,

Typically if there is a signal issue with a camera system, like your Voyager # ASA84YR, it's a power issue. Most wireless camera systems are wired into the running light circuit or reverse light circuit. If it's wired to the running light circuit then you'll need to turn your running lights on in the tow vehicle. If it's wired to the reverse light circuit the camera will only come on when backing up.

If that wasn't the issue then the next step would be to check the voltage running to the camera with a multimeter # PT89ZR. If you're not getting 12 volts then you'll need to trace that wire back to the power source to find where the issue is.

Let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting.

Hi, I have the Jensen Jvr 9000 I purchased it from you guys years ago, it’s connected to a voyager camera on my coachmen class c . Radio works fine except I am now getting a no signal with the Rv in reverse or when I bring it up manually. I’ve tried the other two camera connectors on the radio with still the same no signal. Any suggestions all the connections with the radio seem fine. Thanks for your input Mike L

@MikeL I would disconnect the camera from the wiring and bring it up to the stereo and plug it in there to eliminate any chance of there being some sort of disconnect in the wiring and see if the camera connects and functions. I've seen a lot of motorhome owners talking about this same issue with their rigs and they found that the manufacturers did a sloppy job securing the cables and they disconnected within the walls. I'd hope that they'd use a long enough cable to reach from the stereo to the camera but there is the chance that there's hidden connections. If the camera starts to work when plugged directly into the stereo then we know your wiring needs to be redone. If the camera still doesn't work then we know it's broken and just needs to be replaced. If you can tell me which model you have I'd be happy to look up the correct replacement for you. If you have to run new cable then we offer the following lengths: 10 Feet Long # VGR94FR 15 Feet Long # CEC15 25 Feet Long # CEC25 34 Feet Long # CEC34 50 Feet Long # CEC50 75 Feet Long # CEC75
