Does your 2023 Toyota BZ4X Trailer Hitch interfere with the foot-activated power liftgate sensor?

While we have not had a 2023 Toyota BZ4X in our shop to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C92NR, it does not appear it would prevent the operation of the foot activated liftgate sensor. Since the main cross tube sits behind the bumper cover and is hidden the 2" opening portion would be the only portion of the receiver blocking the sensor. While this may limit the area where you can kick your foot it is more than likely not going to eliminate the use of the sensor in my experience. I personally have a Acura RDX which has a receiver with an exposed cross tube and I can still use the kick feature for the liftgate.

While I know the receiver is not for towing you should still install a 4-Way # TK84CR in case you need Auxiliary Lights # C53201. These are needed when your hitch mounted accessory impairs the view of your tail lights, which is common with a lot of bike racks.
