Availability Of Tray Extension For Kuat Sherpa Bike Rack

Kuat - Sherpa 2.0. Bike extension? I have a 47 inch wheel base. The rear tire hangs over the base plate by several inches. Have read on Kuat site that there is a 3 inch extension that can be installed. They, and another company said they are sold out. Might you have?

Hey Richard, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you are looking for the Kuat Tray Extension part 016-036-00-01. I am sorry to say that we do not offer this part so it is not something we have stocked here. It looks like they are not even available from Kuat at the moment. Unless you can find one for sale secondhand you are probably not going to be able to get one. If the Sherpa rack is not fitting your bike the next step here would be to look at a different rack like the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G which can accommodate up to 50" wheelbase.
