The Roadmaster StowMaster # RM-501 requires crossbar-style base plates. A complete setup for your 2003 Jeep Liberty will require a base plate kit, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system. I'm not entirely sure what you own beyond the tow bar and the safety cables so I apologize if I'm listing something you already have. I recommend the following:
-Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521423-4.
-Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15247.
-Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System # BLU37TR.
More than likely you will also need a high-low adapter to keep you level. I have attached a helpful article below that explains how to measure to choose the correct adapter. I also added a link to all of our available high-low adapters for your reference.
