Will A StowAway Max Cargo Carrier Fit On A Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier With 2" Receiver Tube

Question:

Will this work with a stoaway max on a class C Mercedes chases similar to this one in attached picture.

Hi Daniel,

The mounting point for the tire on the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier w/ 2" Receiver Opening # RM-195225 sits about an inch back from the first hitch pin hole so you'll want to measure the distance from the hitch pin hole to the box of your StowAway Max cargo carrier. You can add the extra inch for the total space between the tire mounting point and cargo box and then subtract the width of the tire to determine if there's enough clearance. If you look at the tire sidewall there's a code that lists three numbers, with the second number being a percentage of the first number and would be your tire's width.

For example, if you have a 205/75-R15 tire size then the tire width would be 75% of 205mm or 153.75mm (6.05").
