Can I Use The Dometic Wall Thermostat DMC79FR With A Coleman AC System?

I have a 2020 Palomino Puma RV that uses a Coleman Mach analog thermostat. I found it is not very accurate when setting the temperature. I have a Dometic Digital thermostat on hand and was wondering if it is possible to use my digital thermostat in place of the analog one? Dometic only uses 3 wires. The Coleman has 6 wires. Will it function correctly if I just attached the 12v +/- and common wire and dont use the other 3 wires. The Coleman allows for different fan speeds, but I use auto anyway.

Hey Roy thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the Dometic Wall Thermostat # DMC79FR is not going to be compatible with your Coleman AC system. The only way to use the Dometic thermostat would be switch out the entire Coleman AC system for a Dometic System. It may be worth checking with Coleman to see if they offer a digital thermostat. We do not carry the Coleman air conditioners here at etrailer so I am afraid we do not have a compatible digital thermostat to offer you.
