Question:
I am looking to order a 6-point system that comes with a 6-point controller, whereas I am only using 4 of the 6-points 6-point system is cheaper than 4-point system, go figure. Can I continue to install the 6-point LC85ED controller? or do I need to replace it with a LC304136 4-point controller? Thanks!

Yes, you can if you add the 4-Point Control Module item # LC304136 to the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System w Touchpad and Remote item # LC675817. You would just have the extra jack legs and the original 6-Point Control Module item # LC85ED.
If you leave the 6-Point Control Module item # LC85ED in, the system will throw error codes because you don't have all the jacks. The rear and middle jacks are tied together.
