Replacement Hub/Drum for Trailer that Has Dexter 8-155

Published 01/30/2024

Question:

Good morning, I have a 96 Neal seal coat trailer and I need to install electric brakes to the axles, my rear axle has brake already front just has hub. Problem I have ran into is it’s Dexter 8-155 brake drum. I can not seem to find these, what is a replacement for such set up with spindle size, I need everything from full brake job and assembly to rim. Any info would be great thank you.

Hey Mark, so we had a customer that had a Dexter 8-155 hub/drum like you have and they were able to replace it with the # 8-201-5UC3-EZ so that would be what I would go with. Then for the correct brake assemblies to match this you would want the part number # AKEBRK-6 and you'd be set.

I don't know what size wheel/tire you have now so I don't know what the correct wheel or wheel/tire would be so I would need you to get me that info. I did attach a page that has all of the wheel/tires we carry that have the same bolt pattern as the hub I recommended.
