Features to know about

Ready for the Road Without the Wait: Pre-Mounted and Aired-Up Tire and Wheel Combo

Getting set up shouldn’t slow you down. The Kenda Karrier KR53 ST225/75R15 radial tire comes already mounted on a 15" black mod steel wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and arrives inflated to proper pressure. Just bolt it on and roll out—no shop visit or extra mounting needed.

Built to Haul Heavy Loads with Confidence: Load Range D, 2,540-lb Capacity at 65 psi

When you’re carrying serious weight, this combo is built to take it. The Load Range D (8-ply) KR53 radial tire supports up to 2,540 lbs at 65 psi, while the steel wheel itself is rated for 2,150 lbs. That strength gives you dependable hauling power for heavy gear or long-distance trips.

Cooler Running, Longer Life on the Highway: Radial Construction with M Speed Rating (81 mph)

For long hauls in heat or rough conditions, the KR53 radial design keeps things steady and cool. It reduces heat buildup for longer tread life and smoother handling at highway speeds up to 81 mph. The tread pattern tracks straight and grips well so your trailer follows true mile after mile.

Durable Finish That Fights Corrosion: Black Powder-Coated Steel Wheel

Road grime and moisture don’t stand a chance against this wheel’s black powder coat finish. The mod-style steel construction resists rust and keeps its clean look through repeated use in tough environments. It’s a sturdy, easy-care choice that stays sharp trip after trip.

Protected from Day One: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

Peace of mind comes built in. If the tire fails under normal use within the first year, Kenda replaces it—simple as that. With an additional limited 2-year warranty on the wheel, you can tow knowing both parts are backed by solid coverage from the start.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Kenda Trailer Tires: Insider Insights from the Manufacturer

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer and today I'm at N.A.T.M. And this convention brings a lot of the vendors that we have at etrailer to a convention where we have their booths and their products set up. I had a chance to catch up with quite a few of them. So let's take a look at their products a little bit up close and ask some of the questions to those vendors about their products. I'm here with Dave from Kenda. And Dave, what is Kenda Yeah, Kenda is a global tire company, right We have operations around the world and we're in a lot of different categories from automotive to light truck, lawn and garden, bicycle, specialty tires, power sports.

So Kenda really is involved in several different categories as a tire manufacturer, which is really unique for us in the marketplace. So if you cover that wide of spectrum, obviously you guys have tires nailed down and the same goes for trailer tires. Yeah. Yes sir. You know the nice part about it is collaboration of engineering, right So you know what we learn from an automotive design as it relates and what attributes are more beneficial in a trailer application, a more ST, specific tire, and we can learn from one another and our engineering staff a lot of collaboration and conversations.

Sure. Absolutely So taking a look at some of your trailer tires, what do we have today Well, you know, one of the key ones I think most recently, which is gonna be an etrailer very, very soon is our KR53. It's relatively new design, it's been a little bit on the market and we've got some history in market. Very good performance. And when you think about tires, you know you have a choice as a consumer, right In just about everything.

Good, better, best, right So this really fits in the probably good category, economically price position, but the integrity and the quality of it is still there at sort of a premium level. So the value for money that you get is very strong. You know, we use a lot of the same, you know, compounding core structure, design, profile, those are all things that are really just a little bit slightly de tuned from a premium sector. But I think it gives the consumer and neighbors a little bit of a choice in how they actually use their trailer at the end of the day. That makes sense.

So you get all the same safety qualities and confidence you get with the tire, but it's more catered to someone that doesn't maybe use their trailer every day for work. That's correct. You look at maybe the difference in tread depths, right You're not using it on road on long distances. This might be a little bit better suited for you. So not only do you offer tires, but you also offer an assembly which is wheel and tire combo Dave Yeah, and I think that's a really a kinda advantage to be truthful, right So you know, our technical center in North America is in Canton, Ohio, right Epicenter of tires, right And we design, we engineer, R&D, research and then we produce in our own factories, right Nothing is outsourced, it's all internal. So we control that through the entire process and then we take it one step further into the assembly process, right So we look at it as a Kenda advantage, we can control it all the way through, which provides a lot of inherent advantages. And I think that's 'cause we're thinking of every aspect along the way is how it comes together as a total assembly package on an OE application on a trailer or in the aftermarket sold through etrailer. And that's great too because instead of having to take your wheel and get your tire mounted, you can get it all one go take your lug nuts off, swap it and you're ready to rock. Absolutely. Yep. And cool designs too. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. If you want to add a little bit of, you know, eye candy to your trailer, anytime you have something cool on your trailer, you wanna make the trailer look cool as well. Lots of cool wheel offerings. So you can really customize that trailer, give it the look you want. So taking a look at this, this looks like more of a all trainer mud tire, but this is a trailer tire. Dave Well you're getting smarter and smarter learning a lot tires. Yes, it is a mud tire design and aesthetically pleasing to give that off-road look and feel in a trailer application. Inherited advantages. You know, it's not a drive tire, right So you're still gonna have some traction benefits and also when you're in a off-road situation or outback or where you might be traveling, you know the thickness of the tread, you're still gonna run into sticks. You're still gonna run into stones and boulders and rocks. So the sidewall design helps in protection 'cause obviously you want to get out into that environment but you also want to get back. That's right. So that's the difference. That makes sense. And that's where, yeah, you overlanders out there, I've seen plenty of the trailer setups and predominantly you're gonna see tires like this and you're a hundred percent right, you're gonna be off-roading in your truck and those are the drive tires that'll see the abuse. But this is getting pulled behind it. You wanna protect it all the same. It doesn't look bad either if your trailer tires match your truck tires. Not at all. Again, going back to having choices of wheels, tires say a lot to me because there are some patterns that really just stand out. This is absolutely one of them. Huge thanks to Dave from Kenda taking the time to kinda break down some of the trailer tires and combos of wheels that you offer. Thank you very much. Oh, thank you. I mean the more we can help educate and promote, you know, tire, tire safety and what's good for your neighbors, we're here for you. Ask anytime, we appreciate the opportunity for you to be with us today. Thank you. Thank you very much.

The tire and wheel arrived with a large bubble in the sidewall. It probably bled through the layers of rubber as it was sitting in the box, but it goes to show the importance of looking over new parts closely before using them.

If I could give more stars I would.Siobhan was beyond helpful. When my horse trailer had issues on my vacation in PA and the tire arrived the day I left, but a few hours too late. She was wonderful about getting me a return label for it to picked up from my friend’s house and created a new order that shipped to my house in NH. I do a similar job to her for a different company and I really appreciate great customer service.
Please let her know how thankful I am.

1 year ago I moved from the NW corner of Washington state to the upper peninsula of Michigan. I had a 2017 tacoma and a 6x10 single axle trailer. If it didn't fit, it got sold. I figured tired were good insurance. Buying these with wheels already setup was a skeptical choice. I was wrong. These were FANTASTIC. No issues since installing them. None. Tracks true and straight. No wobbles or bulges. They have 2400 miles from the move and another 600 miles locally hauling gravel, building supplies, and furniture. I could not be more impressed with the quality and wear (which is virtually nonexistent.

If you are thinking about getting a set of these, do it.

Tires and wheels look great, just unboxed, they arrived promptly with no damage, look forward to installing them on my camper that has the original 2014 tires I recently discovered! These will be a great safety and aesthetic upgrade for my trailer camper rig. etrailer website was super helpful in guiding my choice to get these.
