Question:

I have dexter brakes on my fifth wheel that I my need to replace. On the back of the brake it has the following PR-FF SEC-FF 6KPR-GG SEC-GG 12X2XO 36-89. What brakes would replace what I have?

Expert Reply:

The brake assemblies you have are 7k Dexter assemblies that are 12 inch by 2 inch in size.

The part number # AKEBRK-7-SA will work as a great replacement set. This includes assemblies for both sides of your trailer that are self adjusting.

Don't you mean he has the 6k axles (not 7k)? I have the same.

@TooT The 6k and 7k trailer axles actually use the same assemblies but I see your point.

I have these same axles on my Jayco trailer and need bearing and seal kits. What is the part number for those?

@Rob For a bearing kit for a 7k axle you'd want the part # BK3-210.
