Can The Crossbars Of The Thule TracRac TracONE Ladder Rack Be Mounted Upside Down

I went down to the shop and double checked the crossbars and found that Thule made the mounting track on the bottom of the crossbar for the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH27000XTB just different enough that it won't allow you flip the crossbar and mount it from either side. The have a small fin on each side of the mounting track that lines up with the mounting pad on the tower making, preventing the crossbar from fitting the other way. I've attached a picture of this below.

What kind of dent do you have in the crossbar? What length is the crossbar or do you have the exact model number of your ladder rack? The # TA8523447003 is a confirmed fit for the following models if you'd prefer to just swap out the dented crossbar:
