Need to know if this product can be installed on a regular roof top carrier, and is HD-FK1 needed?

The Rhino-Rack Fishing Rod Carrier # RR576F offers multiple installation options. It can mount to a roof rack by clamping around the rack crossbars (round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars) or it can be installed in the top channel of rack crossbars like # RRVA126B-2 and # RB1375B-2 using the included T-bolt hardware shown in the photo which slide into the top channel of such bars. Only if used in the heavy-duty Rhino-Rack bars is the Fit Kit # HD-FK1 needed.
The standard clamp-on hardware shown in the other photo will fit almost all aftermarket and factory roof rack bars up to about 3-1/8 wide x 1-3/16 tall.
If you are referring to some other type of roof carrier, other than a roof rack, please let me know.
