Can LED Trailer Fender Clearance Light Housing Be Trimmed

Question:
My fenders are narrower than the length of the lite. Can the black housing be cut shortened - obviously not cutting the wires, to make the lite fit the narrow fender?

It is perfectly acceptable to cut down the housing on the # MCL180ARB to fit the width of your fender. Doing so won't hurt anything as long as you don't cut the wires.
