Replacement 7-Way/4-Way for 2005 Ford F-150

I need to put a new trailer wiring harness on my 2005 F-150. Do the 4 prong and 7 prong plugs separate from the back of the metal mount ? Or do I need replace the entire mounting as well?

To replace your trailer wiring on your 2005 Ford F-150 with a setup that has both a 7-way and a 4-way the easiest solution is the part # C55774. This plugs into the round connector your 7-way currently plugs into and provides both styles of connector from the same circuit on your truck. Both would be active at all times.
