Can I Install Two Pairs Of Ark Stabilizer Jacks On A 6,000 lb Trailer?
Question:
Hello Im considering to install one of the Ark Stabilizer models. However, the information provided for the capacity establish 1900ish lbs per pair of stabilizer. if I understood well My trailer is around 6000 lbs loaded. I wonder if I can install 2 pairs these stabilizers in my trailer? What do you suggest? How do I know the capacity needed for stabilizers base on my trailer weight? Regards Jorge

Expert Reply:
You certainly can install two pairs of the Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # ARK77FR on your trailer. In that case we recommend adding one jack to each corner of the trailer frame.
Keep in mind that these are designed to stabilize, not lift the trailer. So only a small fraction of the full weight of the trailer is actually resting on the jack itself. The 1,929 lb capacity is going to be more than enough to stabilize a 6,000 lb trailer. Especially if you install two pairs, you will never have to worry about putting too much weight on the stabilizer jacks.

Per the manufacturer, I believe these XO line jacks are in fact designed to lift the full weight of the trailer, not just to stabilize.
