Can Ark XO Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks Be Used For Leveling

Question:

Does the manufacturer explicitly state that these can or cannot be used for leveling vs. use for tire changes and stabilization? Im trying to determine if I can use this on a caravan-style camper as lifts. My trailers fully loaded weight is around 6,200lbs.

The Ark XO Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # ARK87FR can be used for leveling. Ark actually has a "How to Level a Caravan or Camper Trailer" section in their installation guide. The legs have a support capacity of 1,925 lbs per jack in the 90 degree position so they could handle the weight of your camper with one at each corner. Even if you're changing a tire, you still want to be hooked up to the vehicle and the tires on the opposite side would be on the ground supporting some weight.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by using them as a lift but you wouldn't want to exclusively support the camper with these while you're using it. Doing so would result in unstable conditions and potentially damage the frame. Make sure you keep your tires on the ground and tongue jack down to support the weight along with the corner steadies. You can also use these with a high lift jack base for additional stability.
