Will The 18K Demco Autoslide 5TH Wheel Work Inside The Bed of a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500?

Thinking about purchasing a 2024 GMC Sierra 3.0L diesel pickup with the short 5-8inch box. Will the Demco hitch work in this truck? I currently have the hitch installed in my 2012 Silverado with the 5-8inch box and it works great!

With the short 5'8" bed on your 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 you really should use use the 13K Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550040. This hitch has a much further travel of 22-1/2" to clear your cab while turning than the 18K # DM8550034 hitch which only has 14" of travel. As you already have it in a similar length bed on your 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 I see know reason it would not work the same on your new truck. You might take some measurements from truck to truck to verify how far the hitch will sit from the cab and verify they are the same as we have not had a 2024 model year in our shop to verify fitment.
