Troubleshooting Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover Not Latching Closed

Question:
The strap on my Pace Edwards tonneau cover on my2008 f-250 snapped off when I was trying to close it .now, the latch won’t lock in any position. Is there any way to get the lei h to lock without the strap?

It sounds like you may either need to adjust the stops or clean the latches on your Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-SWF7084. The latches at the center of the cover are spring loaded so if they are not retracting back out when you pull the cover closed there may be some dirt in the handles or latches which is preventing them from extending into the latch on the edge of the rail. Likewise you will want to check the rails to make sure the cover is fully reaching the latch to engage.
If you can send me some pictures of the latches as well as the release mechanisms I can help you determine if one of these components stands out as being clearly damaged.
