Trying to Get Inner Drop Leg of Bulldog Jack to Move After Getting Stuck All the Way Down
Published 11/08/2023 >
Question:
I have an older 12,000 Bulldog jack on a horse trailer see photo - it doesnt really say a model number, just it is a 180 series. The leg part is not spring loaded - it always ped or just you lifted it. I accidentally ped it down all the way and now it wont go push back up see photos. The pin is all the way out - it is not engaged. Is there any way I can fix this? I am saving for a new jack but I was going to go camping tomorrow and I really cant with the jack hanging down so low - also I am worried about even getting it to a shop.

Sounds like it's binding up in some way. I would try jacking the trailer up and see if that puts enough force on the drop leg that it frees itself up and allows the pin to drop into a hole again.
