Troubleshooting A Roll Pin That Won't Slip Into Place In A Bulldog 10K Square Jack

Question:

The pin hits the gears if u try to punch it all tye way out and hits them not allowing it to rotate to the other side. Just cut the stupid thing off or what??

If you have the correct pin in place for your Bulldog Square Jack # BD182500 and it's sticking out that far then you would want to push it into the slot more to secure the gear in place. Cutting it off will most likely lead to it eventually failing and your gear working itself out of place. I'm assuming this is probably going to be challenging to do but you can try rotating it to have the pin facing up so you can try to push it in further or you could leave it how it is in the picture and press against it with a pry bar and use the leg for leverage to force it in.

The roll pin for the small gear should be 1.25" long and 0.25" in diameter so I would check that you have the correct size roll pin in place. If not you can get replacements with part # BD500212.
