Question:
I have a 94 Standard cab F-250. You sell 2 different gooseneck hitches. BandW and Curt. The Curt is cheaper but can you tell me what you recommend?

Expert Reply:
While the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # C60723 is a more cost-effective option for your 1994 Ford F-250, the B&W Turnoverball Underbed is my go-to gooseneck hitch so I have a hard time not recommending it. The correct fit depends on if you have the Overload Springs or not:
- Overload Springs # BWGNRK1110
- Without Overload Springs # BWGNRK1100
When looking at the specs the only real difference between the Curt and the B&W is that the B&W is Made in the USA, but in dealing with both of these companies for a number of years I can confidently say that the B&W customer support is unrivaled. I've made phone calls about hitches that have been discontinued for years and they're still able to answer my questions and in some cases they are still able to get replacement parts out for those older hitches.
If you plan on only having the truck for a few more years then saving some money with the Curt hitch is a good choice, but if this is a work truck that you want to hang on to for quite a while then the B&W is the best way to go.
