This Curt Double Lock gooseneck hitch is built to handle serious towing jobs with a gross towing weight of 30,000 lbs and a vertical load of 7,500 lbs. The double-lock system uses two pins to secure the ball in place instead of one, giving you extra security when hauling heavy equipment, livestock, or big fifth-wheel conversions. The chrome-plated 2-5/16" ball locks solidly for a tight, stable connection that stays put when you’re pulling hard.
When you’re not towing, you can get full use of your truck bed again in minutes. Just pull the handle, flip the ball upside down, and drop it back into the hitch for storage. The below-the-bed design leaves the bed floor open and clean. A rubber cover fits over the ball hole to keep out dirt and grime when the ball is stowed, while a chrome ring around the hole gives it a low-profile finished look.
The comfort-grip handle sits inside the wheel well so you can lock or release the hitch quickly from the side of the truck. Safety-chain hookups are built in for convenience, and the spring-loaded locking system engages smoothly every time. The chrome-plated components resist corrosion, and zinc plating protects the locking mechanism so it keeps working cleanly even after years of heavy use.
The included mounting kit comes with Grade 8 hardware and doesn’t require any welding. You’ll need to cut a 4" hole in the bed for the hitch ball, but everything else bolts up using custom-fit brackets for a solid connection to your truck’s frame. Optional accessories are available separately, like an adapter plate (C16210) for fifth-wheel towing or an offset ball (C602) if you need extra clearance between your truck cab and trailer.

Installed on a 1995 powerstroke, slight modification required to make my air bags sit correct, but only to the air bag brackets not the hitch. I pull a 32’ stock trailer and exceeded the hitch manufactures weight rating on a weekly basis. Self installed and It has been on for about a year with no trouble. This seems to be just as strong as the B&W on my other pickup that I’ve had for more than 10 years.
I have not installed the hitch yet. The absolute best customer service I’ve ever experienced!! Paula is very knowledgeable and had it shipped out the same day. I highly recommend etrailer to anyone!
Great product but the instructions are a little muddied. I replaced a welded in under bed gooseneck hitch with this unit. I chose this unit over a single pin gooseneck flip ball for the added mental security as well as potential for less rattle
Thank you for reaching out. Definitely love the reliability and durability of this hitch, also the added clearance. I have it mounted on my 40 foot enclosed race car trailer. We towed using it 35 to 40 times to and from race tracks in 2019. Hooking it up and disconnecting it every weekend. Never gave us a single issue.
I think this gooseneck hitch is the best for newer Sierra/Silverado HD trucks. I installed it a week ago with the help of my father-in-law and his car lift. Took about 4 hours moving slowly and taking our time. Everything fit well and bolted right up. I also reinstalled the foil heat shield after removing one mounting ear. I did not drop the exhaust or the plastic heat shield and still got everything in.
I chose this specific kit because it did not require notching the bed seam when installing the rails. It also has a higher tongue load rating than the others and was cheaper.
The only major criticism I have is the pull wire and carriage bolts. My chassis has weld nuts and I would have preferred to use those over carriage bolts pulled into the chassis. I am thankful there were access holes almost inline with the mounting holes. That made it easy to put pressure on the bolt heads so they didn’t fall back. I also think the gasket around the big hole should be one piece to make it look cleaner. I used black silicone rtv to smooth the transition and adhere the gasket in place.

Excellent product and customer service
Installed easily on 2015 GMC 2500 HD double cab short bed. Plenty of clearance under the bed when ball is flipped. This system makes for a clean useable bed. When I was purchasing this I was concerned about clearance of a gooseneck hitch and my transfer tank. I have a 40 gal tank that sits back from the cab a bit over 20 inches, there’s plenty of clearance for a gooseneck with a fuel tank on this short bed. The hitch has held up perfectly over the last year. I haul around 12k on steep, washboard, gravel roads.
this installed correctly on my 2005 dodge ram 2500 diesel per instructions for installation with air bags. I have hauled a 42 foot 3 axle car trailer for over 6,000 miles with no issues. This was a great purchase. Thank you

Wow, what can I say, this is an extremely solid, well built unit.
I knew it was about 90 pound, but when you take it out of the boxes the quality really hits you. Everything fits just as it is supposed to. The bolts are all Grade 8, and when you get everything torqued you know this unit is truly part of the truck frame.
Maybe a little over kill for our 5500# Escape 5.0 TA, but I wanted that confidence while connected, and I got it.
Coupled this with the Anderson Ultimate Hitch in Black Out and couldn't be happier.
Installation was not to bad. The installation video was better than the written directions. Delivery time was good. I really like how it operates,
Great product and perfect fit for my 2005 GMC Sierra duramax. I just purchased a Montana fifth wheel and wanted to still be able to use the bed of the truck without taking a heavy hitch in and out and breaking my back. The hitch arrived really fast and the boxes were in pretty good shape and I was only missing one washer from a torn parts bag. I was able to install the hitch that weekend with help of the directions and how to YouTube video. The only issue I had was that the video stated the crossbar with the notch went to the rear while the directions showed it going to the front. It definitely goes to the front and was pretty obvious when installing it. I didn’t have any real issues with the install and it looks great and hides away nicely leaving a clean flat bed. I look forward to hauling my fifth wheel real soon.
Quick shipping and good price.. only problem is the one box arrived with one end open. Seed more tape or banding. Hopefully it is not missing anything
Got this for our new camper last year. Did the installation myself with a few buddies very straight forward directions. We use a Reese goose box with the curt 4” off set ball on our 08 short bed truck! Would definitely recommend
The supplied mounting brackets didn't line up with anything on the frame. I had to modify the entire kit. I fo however like the locking mechanism.
A well-designed, high-quality gooseneck hitch kit, that I probably could have installed myself if I would have had a hydraulic lift available. The installation video was very well done.

Very pleased with the customer service throughout the purchase process. I paid to have it installed and the shop that installed it said that it went in very easily! I've not put it to use yet but I really like the fact that the ball can be flipped over for a flat bed.
Unit installed and pulled my fifth wheel to provincetowne Mass. Unhooked and pulled the ball out and picked up some firewood. Nice flat surface. Love it. Only way to go.
Great hitch. Used it several times to haul my cattle trailer no issues. Very easy to install with minimal tools. Everything fit well. I have a rubber bed mat and the rubber hitch cover is almost the exact same thickness making the bed %100 usable when the hitch is in storage. It also does a great job of keeping dirt out of the hitch.
