Hitch For 2011 Toyota Tacoma to Replace OEM Hitch
Updated 10/31/2023 | Published 10/30/2023 >
Question:
Hi, I have a factory installed hitch on my 2011 Tacoma that has seen its last days of use. All your hitches say they dont work on a vehicle with a factory installed hitch. Am I interpreting that correctly? Which hitch do you recommend for that vehicle? If none, then what is the limiting factor? Thanks

The aftermarket hitches for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma don't fit alongside the factory installed hitch; some trucks have hitches you can add on to OEM hitches that fit underneath the original. So I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to replace your OEM hitch with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13323.
We did have one customer (see below cut out) mention replacing their OEM hitch, and they mentioned taking a look at the bumper brackets, which are required to install the # 13323. If you take a look at the instructions (linked below) you can see how those are needed so I'd make sure those brackets are in good condition as well, and be sure you can take the OEM hitch off (some are welded on, but I do not believe yours is).
