Question:
I am restoring an old 1950s or 1960s 19-foot Blazon travel trailer that has, 10-inch drum, electric brakes. One of the springs is broken and I need a replacement spring. This is the spring, that extends across the brake shoe adjustment mechanism at the bottom of the break bcker plate and between the lower ends of the two brake shoes. Can you tell me if the following part numbers are for a spring or spring kit that has a spring that is the same as the one I need to replace. According to the photos, the spring or one of the springs in the kit associated with the part number, looks like the spring that I need to replace. Helpful Expert Reply:
All of the kits you mentioned are spring kits for brake assemblies. Since you said you have 10 inch assemblies the part # AKBRKR-SP is most likely what you need as it fits this size and most common brake assembly brands.
