Today we're going to take a look at the Replacement Return Spring Kit for Electric Brake Assembly. This kit is designed to fit on electric brake assemblies. It contains all the springs you'll need for one brake assembly. It does include the two shoe return springs, the one adjuster spring, two shoe hold-down springs, and one magnet spring. The springs fit perfectly. I wish I would have looked on etrailer before I had started my project. I could have bought new the complete new backing plate assembly for less than I ended up paying for individual pieces, and it would have saved me several laps around town looking for the right parts for my OLD trailer.

Drum brake parts aren't that common and manufacturers are producing inferior pieces. That isn't the case here. The parts from etrailer were perfect in all aspects.

    The Lippert Components Heavy-Duty Replacement Shock - Yellow # LC283280 is 8.625 inches compressed and 13.5 inches fully extended.   • Troubleshooting One Set of Brakes Running Hot on Tandem Axle Trailer
    I recommend using a circuit tester like part # PTW2991 to check and see if the wiring to your trailer brakes has constant power or not as this could be a result of 12V power jumping over to the brake circuit for that rear axle. If those look okay then you need to double check the adjustment of your trailer brakes. You want them to slightly drag when you freely spin the wheel. If the wheel is locked or drags a lot when you spin the wheel then that means your brakes are still too aggressive. If...
