Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at this trailer hub and drum assembly for 3,500-pound axles. Now, folks, this does work with a #84 spindle. It is a 10-inch diameter. It works with both electric or hydraulic 10-inch brake drum assemblies. And it's pre-greased.
You can see both the inner and outer bearings, and it has the grease seal already installed. So this is literally ready to pop out of the box, put onto your trailer spindle, and tighten down correctly, and you're good to go. It does come with obviously the lug nuts. It comes with the center cap here along with the rubber plug in there. That way if you have an EZ lube spindle or the spindle with the grease zerk on it, you can easily pop off that rubber plug and make access to that spindle grease zerk to do your maintenance and whatnot.
And as you can see, it has been coated here, so it is corrosion-resistant for wear and tear. And this does use the L44649 outer bearing and the L68149 inner bearing. And again, it already comes pre-greased, ready to go. Now, there's a lot more information as far as the bearings, races, and those kind of things. You can find all that on the product page as well if you need any more information as far as all the technical specs.
As you can see, this is a one, two, three, four, five, six-lug. So it's a six-lug assembly. So make sure you're double-checking your lug pattern. This particular one is a six on five and a half. If you have an odd lug pattern, make sure you're checking out the correct ones you need for your equipment.

Pre greased hubs are the way to go!
The magnet surface is only about the wheel studs .026 thousands of an inch, this will not last the life of the brake shoes. Dexter or lippert are better thickness.
Ordered two to go on my new replacement axle. They were greased up and fit perfectly.
