Question:
Brake pedal switch 2013 chevy express. 6 wires identified as white o volts, brown 5v, yellow 0v, maybe blue 1v, gray .7v, brown/white 3.6. Does the P3 braker controller need 12v 0v off 12v brake on for its sense red wire? If so I would think I must go to a BCM output therefor which connector and color wire. There are 7 connectors on BCM of different colors. Your videos are old for the times have changed in technology. One reference may be the BCM brown plug light blue/white wire can you confirm?

Expert Reply:
Yes, I can confirm that the correct wire that you need is the light blue/white wire coming out of the brown plug on the BCM (see photo). You may already be aware of this, but the BCM is located behind the passenger side dash. We used this wire a few weeks ago for a customer who wanted a brake controller on their Express Van, and it worked great.
Before making any connections, it is always a good idea to test the wire using a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, to ensure you have the correct wire. There are two blue wires coming from the brown plug on the BCM, so you will want to make sure you use the wire that only shows power when the brake pedal is pressed.
