Question:

Hi there. Can you suggest a replacement converter for my 2014 Keystone Cougar. My current converter is model WF-8955PEC. If you have one that will work with a deep cycle lead and/or Lifepo4 battery that would be a plus. I would like to upgrade to Lifepo4 in next couple months. Thank you for your time.

I would be happy to. The replacement converter for your WF-8955PEC is the Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution Panel item # PD4655V. This unit will fit in the same dimensions that your WF-8955PEC fit in and would only replace the converter section.

However, it doesn't work with lithium batteries and there isn't an option to just replace that converter with one that does. To be able to use lithium batteries down the road you will need to upgrade to the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel - 60 Amp item # PD4060K.
