Does the blue ox sway control 1000 or 1oo6 come with a 2 1/2 inch Shank because i have a 2 1/2 inch receiver? What makes up the difference?

No, it does not but there are a couple of options to make them work with a 2-1/2" receiver. The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution item # BXW1006 and item # BXW1000 are only sold with 2" shanks.

The least expensive option is to use the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # C45405. This inserts into your 2-1/2" receiver and doesn't lower your capacity. It has been confirmed to work with weight distribution systems. I think this will answer your question about making up the difference.

The other option is to use a shank that will work with the SwayPro and fits a 2-1/2" receiver. For this option you will want the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Shank item # BXW4028.
