Just bought a motorhome and want to tow my gladiator. Dealer wants 6000 to set it up and Im not seeing why. Can you tell me what is needed I have an aftermarket front bumper with d rings. I like blue ox and brake buddy

Flat towing setups can end up being pretty expensive. Especially when you pay to have the components installed but that does seem high. Since you like Blue Ox and your Gladiator has D-rings you'd need either the part # BX88357 if you have 7/8 inch D-rings or the part # BX88358 if you have 1 inch D-rings.
In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. One of the most popular compatible tow bars is the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 which comes with safety cables. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground.
For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
For braking the Brake Buddy 3 Select part # HM39524 is a great option. It's proportional unlike the Classic model which means it applies the vehicle brakes with the same intensity as the tow vehicle.
