Does Air Lift Air Bag Kit for 2003 Chevy Suburban Install Before or After Vehicle Axle
Updated 09/05/2023 | Published 09/04/2023 >
Question:
I have a 2003 Chevy suburban. The kit says to I stall the bags behind the axle. However the picture shows mounting forward of the axle. Which is it? Also ... Whe using the install tool the holes do not line up with the frame. I would have to raise the bracket 1/4 inch or so. Kind of eyeball wing it. Is that what is expected?

Expert Reply:
Definitely follow the instructions for the Air Lift kit part # AL59526 and install the bags behind the axle. The pictures seem to show a similar kit installed on a different vehicle. It would be okay to raise the bracket 1/4 inch like you mentioned as well.
