Solution for JET-3500 Trailer Jack that Dropped Inner Leg Into Outer Leg

Question:
I have an FIC-ETJ 3500 on my 2020 Rockwood Ultra Light. I was about to lower the jack and the inner tube just ped to the ground. Is there a gear that it needs to connect to or is it worth trying to open it up to look at it? This is my first trailer and have had for only a year or so and i dont have much mechanican knowledge on this stuff.

Sounds like a damaged screw/gear inside your trailer jack. That specific model is no longer made so for a replacement the upgraded version part # JET-5000 would be your best option. This has a higher capacity so it would work a little quicker too.
