Recommended Brake Controller for 2021 Kia Telluride

Have kia telluride 2021 ex with seven pin trailer hookup Advise best brake controller and if easy to install OR send list of reputable installers in Buffalo ny area / 14120

The easiest brake controller to install is going to be the Curt Echo # C51180 you looked at. All you have to do is plug this into the 7-way on your 2021 Kia Telluride. It is controlled via the app which also acts as the manual override.

My personal recommendation is the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR. The main unit installs behind the dash, with only the knob visible in the cab of your Telluride. This gives it a sleek look that doesn't take up space. It also makes it easy to adjust without using an app or worrying about the Bluetooth connection.

The installation of the Liberty isn't too difficult, but I will let you be the judge of that. I have attached an installation video below so you can decide for yourself if this is something you would like to attempt. The installation in the video is for a Telluride without the tow package so it is hardwired using # RED69FR.

If you do have the factory tow package you can use the # 331-TPH-019 adapter along with the Curt # C77BR for a plug and play installation. The easiest way to tell would be to look under your dash and see if you have the factory port for a brake controller.
